The journey behind every Nörre Nordic ritual.

Every Nörre Nordic product begins long before it reaches the bottle. It begins in the Arctic landscape of Finland, where cultivated gardens, wild meadows, forests, and seasonal harvests provide the botanicals that inspire everything we create.

From cultivation and wildcrafting to drying, infusing, and formulation, we remain closely connected to every stage of the process. This approach allows us to preserve the character of our ingredients while creating products that reflect our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and the remarkable power of Arctic botanicals.

 

Cultivated in Our Garden.

Many of the botanicals used in our products are cultivated in our own garden, where they are grown from seed to plant in rhythm with the seasons.

Calendula, cornflower, nettle, blackcurrant, raspberry leaf, chamomile, and other medicinal plants are carefully tended throughout the growing season before being harvested at their peak.

Growing selected botanicals ourselves allows us to remain closely connected to the ingredients we use and ensures exceptional freshness, quality, and traceability from the very beginning.

 

Gathered from the Wild.

Alongside cultivation, we carefully wildcraft selected Arctic herbs and botanicals from forests, meadows, and other natural habitats.

Plants such as yarrow, meadowsweet, fireweed, lady’s mantle, self-heal, and birch leaves are gathered by hand from clean, undisturbed areas far from roads, cities, and industrial activity.

Wildcrafting allows us to work with plants in their natural environment, where they have adapted to thrive under the unique conditions of the North.

 

Preserving Nature’s Vitality.

Soon after harvest, botanicals are dried carefully at low temperatures to help preserve their natural qualities.

By working in small batches and avoiding unnecessary storage times, we aim to retain the vitality, aroma, colour, and beneficial compounds that make each plant unique.
This slower approach allows the character of the plant to remain intact as it moves from nature into ritual.

 

Traditional Herbal Infusions.

Many of our formulations begin with herbal oil infusions created using traditional methods.

Dried botanicals are slowly infused into organic sunflower oil over a six-week period, allowing plant compounds to transfer gently into the oil without excessive processing.
This unhurried process creates rich botanical infusions that carry the character of the plants into the final formulation.

 

Finnish Berry Seed Oils.

Our herbal infusions are combined with carefully selected Finnish berry seed oils, including sea buckthorn, lingonberry, blackcurrant and cranberry.

These oils are CO₂-extracted to help preserve their naturally occurring nutrients and beneficial compounds.

Chosen for both their skin compatibility and nutritional richness, they bring another layer of Arctic resilience to our formulations.

 

Crafted in Small Batches.

Every Nörre Nordic product is handmade in small batches in our own production space.
This allows us to maintain freshness, quality, and complete oversight throughout the production process. It also enables us to work with freshly prepared ingredients and make thoughtful adjustments when needed.

For herbal powders and masks, botanicals are freshly ground shortly before production to help preserve their active compounds and natural vitality.
